: Feeding the Birds :

I was browsing again all the photos from my OZ vacation and saw these photos. It was at Ikama where we went to see the Light house and the famous Blow Hole. We didn't finish our lunch (fish and chips) when we ate at the park so we fed the birds. One by one they showed up when they saw us throwing food.

Of course I was so excited bec. it is my 1st time that birds come right at me bec. here in Pinas birds are afraid of people hahaha (joke only!!!!)

I really took this photo with our theme (pointed) in mind and it was last March when I took a vacation in Sydney. I know the Opera House has been photographed over a million times already but I am happy with what I have come up with this photo. Those are the pointed fence and of course the pointed structure of the Opera.

I also took the steps going to the top of the Opera House as per my bro in law's instruction and he took lots of pictures of me in almost all angles..lol

This one is just near the opera house not quite sure though if that is an old hotel or something hehe. My other entry HERE.

Wish I am still on vacation

I’ve been back home for over 2 months now and I dearly miss my vacation back in OZ land. The best days are when we spent 1 week in an Island and even went snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. Ahhh what a pure bliss that is! We also stayed at one of apartments there and we also had a chance to stay at the hotels in the city when I was about to go home. Summer is gone in OZ land and how I was I still there. meanwhile in America, summer is there and for sure many are already thinking of having a vacation. It is always nice to stay in nice hotels like reno hotels in Nevada, and somewhere else. I also dreamed of going to the US as I have lots of relatives there from my dad’s side.

: Too much photos!!?? :

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Finally, my Australian vacation photos were already printed last Thursday!! I only chose 900 pics from among the nearly 3,000 photos that I have to be printed. I was really looking for a store that gave me a discount in printing and thanks to Buge my co-dgiscrapper who recommended FANS Digital store in Quiapo. It only costs P5.00 per print of 4"x6" size and I was able to save a lot since the regular price here in our place is about P7.50.

It was timing that my bro. will go to Quiapo that Thurs. so I asked him to have it printed. The prints were ok but there are few that they adjusted the colors so much that it turned out to be too bright, wish they never did that. Anyway, the only problem is that I need albums for my pictures. Actually I already have 2 albums that I bought in Australia but i left it there when I came home last April bec. I was already over baggage. Well, at least my family already saw my OZ pics.

: Looking forward for my sister’s vacation here in 2009 :

My sister Joy has been out of the country since 2000 bec. she finally settled and build her own family in Sydney Australia. She hasn’t been home ever since but we got the chance to see her bec. mom and I was fortunate enough to be sponsored to fly over there. Although we got to see her and family, my other siblings and other relatives would love to see her plus her husband and 3 kids also.

The good thing is that they (the whole family) already planned of coming home on Christmas of 2009 and that made us all excited. Not quite sure if they will stay at the hotel or at ourhouse, but that not a problem since they can always get hotel deals online. They have no concrete plans yet on where to go since it is still too far away, but my bro inlaw told us that he would love us to rent a villa or a resort. I know there are many resorts in Laguna or Antipolo that we can hire for the whole day.

I think this is exciting to have a big family reunion and I hope my other sister who is in Riyadh can go home too. Ahhh … I can’t wait for that day.!!

I Miss Australia !

It’s already over a month since I came back from my vacation in OZ land and I can’t help but to miss my days while I was there. How can I forget all the days when we spent holidays on a beach, an island and even at the Great Barrier Reef? Not all Aussies have the chance to go there so I am pretty lucky to have been there particularly at the Reef.

I also miss their food, Aussies love barbeque and most of the time they spend their leisure time eating or drinking at the backyard or patio. It is where they entertain their visitors or friends, and mostly patio furniture are used by guests esp. if they have events or birthdays. Speaking of bbq, I just love the garlic shrimps, steaks and the salmon that we often cook. Bro in law and sis Joy would make it a point to serve great foods while I was there. Sis Joy can cook the best barbequed honey ribs.. yum yum

And who can’t miss our shopping spree, I think we go at the malls quiet a lot and we did get some great deals esp. when they had the out of season sale. There are many things that I miss over there esp. my sis and her family. Just hoping I can go back there again in the future.

: Where is your next destination? :

Summer is always anticipated by many as it is the best time to travel and have a break. Sipping piƱa colada under the coconut tree, letting your hair down, lazing around and walking on a sandy white beach… ahhh what a great thing to do isn’t it? My summer vacation at the Land Down Under last Jan-April ’08 has been a blast and I hope there will be a next time. It’s already mid autumn now there so Aussies are feeling the cold.

And for those country where summer is just coming, I bet many of you have already been preparing or thinking where to you intend to spend it with your family. There are lots of information like travel destinations, travel guides and tips on the net that anyone can consider. Just plan carefully and choose the place where you most want to go. Bahamas? Paris? Mexico? Boracay in the Phils? or what about in the Caribbean? Every place is perfect to go to as long as you relax and let go.

: Fun times during summer :

Summer here in the Phils. is almost over as the start of the new school year 2008 will unfold in the first week of June. Summer has been so hot and humid but that doesn’t stop people esp. the kids from having fun and enjoy their vacation. Beach and other resorts are always on the top of any vacationer’s list bec. there are lots of fun activities that you can do there. Summer in the US is just around the corner and I know many have already planning their trip. Outer Banks vacation rentals in North Carolina have been called “Best Bet for Rentals” and I don’t see any reason why not try their services. Only one thing I know summer is a great time to bond with the family and enjoy the times being spend together.

: The Great European Dream :

I am just lucky enough to travel overseas and it was in Australia that I have been to for 3x already since 2005 and that is the only country outside the Phils. I have been so far. I can’t count Hongkong bec. I only been there for a 3 hour stop over for a connecting flight. Traveling is always been fun even though it is stressful at times but the places, the culture and the people that I have seen and known are just priceless.

Every time someone asks me where my dream vacation is then the answer that I have over and over again is in Paris. I would really love to see the Eiffel Tower and to see more great places there. My interest grew more when a saw a travelogue on TV and I reckon it would be magical and interesting to just explore this popular place. I hope this will not stay only as my dream. For those that are planning a vacation in Paris, it is but best to find affordable Paris Hotels bec. as we all know taking a vacation needs a budget.

Traveling to Europe has always been a dream to most of us who wants to travel and enjoy different cultures. Cities like Paris, Venice, Rome and Amsterdam are just some of the cities many tourists put in their iterinary. Paris boasts of the Eiffel Tower, Gondolas in Venice, Rome’s and Amsterdam great architectural pieces and more. Should you be planning your great European tour then you’ll never go wrong with those cities. But first you need to plan your trip way ahead and look for some Venice Hotels, Hotels Rome or Amsterdam Hotels that are cheap and affordable bec. in that way you have extra money for leisure tripping and shopping. Happy travelling !

Honeymoon Escapade

Are you tying the knot soon? I know this is a once in a lifetime experience for anyone and we always wanted it to be the best experience if not perfect. Wedding preparations are time consuming, stressful and of course requires a budget. For most of the couples who don’t want to stress themselves with all the preparations, they get themselves a wedding planner to do the entire job for them. In that way, they can enjoy and relax before the big day.

After the wedding, every couple’s dream is to go to a vacation for their sweet honeymoon. There are many places to go to and enjoy each other like Hawaiin vacation or even Fiji honeymoon vacation would be perfect. Booking for a honeymoon getaway can be simple nowadays, you don’t need to go to your local travel agency, you just need to log on the internet and book online at Travestoreusa.com where you can choose your perfect destination. They have been specializing in travels for many years now.

I have many photos to share

Right now I have not yet uploaded the photos that I have while on vacation in Australia for 3 months. My 2 CF memory cards (one 4GB and 1 2GB) were all full of my pictures and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will not lose it bec. I have no back up files them.

I already asked one printing shop how much will it cost per picture for a 4” x 6” size and it was at P6.50. I asked her if she will give me discount if my photos will exceed over 1,500 and she said NO. Wow no discount for bulk printing??? Grabe naman.

I need to find a shop that will give a discount. Any tip where I can have it printed? Hmm maybe in Quiapo, I reckon they give discounts there since a lot of photographers are going there.

I'm back here in Pinas

Wow I can't believe that I am back home again! I still have a hang-over and still feel tired and lazy to go back to my old routine... You know I'm still on my vacation mode hehehe.

Anyway, I had a very tiring 10 hour flight last Thurs. via Qantas airlines. My sister JOYd and my bro inlaw JOE took me at the airport and I was little worried about my luggage being overweight. I am just glad that my check in baggage weighed 23.8 kilos and they allowed it, I still have my hand carry (they didn't weigh it) and my personal back pack.

Our pilot is a woman and on board were stewards (some are pinoys), it was quite nice having to experience an all male steward and a lady pilot for the 1st time bec. they are much attentive to us passengers. The flight was tiring like I said but it is good that my seat mate who is a lady is very talkative and she kept my company.

See you in Pinas!!!

Wow .... I can't believe that my 3-month vacation here in Australia is about to end very very very soon...!!! Time is ticking.... my bags are packed and I am ready to go home on Thursday.

I guess this is my last post for now bec. tomorrow night I need to rest and sleep early (byuti rest ika nga hehehe) bec. I need to get up early on Thurs. for my flight back home. Me excited? Hmmm not really hehe but I need to go home... I hope i will come back again..

Nite nite everyone and Pinas I'm going back home. yay I hope it's not too hot and humid..!!!!!

My bags are packed

Oh yeah,..... I already finished packing my stuff into my luggage, hand carry luggage and at my personal bag this morning. I was amazed how heavy my luggage are, yah I know i should pack lightly but you know what when you are going back to the Philippines, you can never do that bec. many are waiting for your pasalubong hehehe.

My Pinay friends here gave me lots of chocolates to take home and oh my gosh that is the reason why my luggages are heavy. I am not sure yet if i will leave some bec. i might end up with an excess baggage. I hope Qantas airlines will give some consideration to me hehe... wish me luck.

We went snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef !!

Oh yeah.. you read it right at the THE GREAT BARRIER REEF  here in Australia ! I could not believe I'll be there to see that wonderful place and thanks to my sis and bro inlaw for bringing me there. FYI, it is the world's largest coral reef system and it has been sited as one of the World's Heritage Site.

We went for a a 1 week holiday at the Hamilton Island (some pics here) and last Friday my sis Joy and her family went on a tour at the Hardy Reed in the Great Barrier Reef. It wasn't a s
mooth sail I tell yah.. The waves are about 2 meters high and our boat were like rocking but it was one great adventure.

Here are some pics ( I didn't have pics while on the water as i can't bring my cam there-sayang nga eh)
With my nephew Braiden wearing our stingers suits before we dive. Mind you I got really scared diving in that deep water but once there the view below is amazing. You could see fishes swimming around you and the corals are just awesome.

Look at the fishes just swimming near my feet.

Our Hamilton Island vacation

Hello there peeps!!! Did you miss me? Oh well, we arrived today from HAMILTON ISLAND here in Australia for our 1 week holiday. We (sis Joy and her family) actually left last Saturday lunch time in Sydney aboard Jet Star airplane and we arrived Hamilton Island in the afternoon. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with in house amenities so we were able to cook our breakfast most of the times and do our laundry etc.

It was really great to be there, we have done a lot of activities already such as island hoppin' at DAYDREAM ISLAND, kayaking, swimming at the pool, snorkelling at THE GREAT BARRIER REEF, go play mini-golf with the kids, go sailing on a boat and lots lots more !!!!

The weather is a bit crazy while we are there bec. sometimes it rains, sometimes it is sunny and hot and most of the times it is windy. We usually go walking along the beach in the afternoon where it is low tide most of the times. We can pick up some shells, look at the baby crabs, took photos and just have fun!!

Here are some pics to share:

We just arrived at the island and immediately we walk along the beach when it was low tide

Ahhh breathtaking view of the Hamilton Island (feeling model hahaha)

Watch out for more pics!!

Just an update

Finally my skin allergy is almost gone now. I am not itchy anymore but my skin still is rough and i could still see some small rashes (just hate touching it).

Anyway, last Sunday, we went to the Steam Train Festival here in Thirlmere here in Australia. It was gloomy that morning and it rained so it was cold when we got there. Fortunately the rain stopped so we were able go around and see the parade. There are street stalls where some sell foods, toys and other goods. The kids had fun riding the kiddy rides and of course riding the Steam Train.

Kiama Photos

Here are some photos when we went to Kiama after Wollongong here at NSW, Australia. another town here and another tourist place, we ate at the park and we had fun feeding the birds. One of the town’s major tourist attractions is the “Blow Hole” derived from “"where the sea makes noise".
