: Goodbye Internet Explorer ! :

Need I say more? I have been alternately using IE and Firefox for years now and just last week my friendship with IE already ended hehe. I just hate IE so much bec. it gives errors and some sites/blogs would not display good. To keep myself away from being annoyed, I decided to kick and let Firefox eat my IE! lol

With my desire to enhance my browsing pleasures, I also downloaded Opera 9.51 last week and I used it side by side with FireFox 3, way way much better than IE. Features of Opera: I just love Opera's magic wand where you can instantly log in say for example Yahoo mail etc. NOTE: This is only good if you are using your own computer and not sharing with anyone!) I also love the Speed Dial that gives you a quick access to your favorite website. There are about 9 slots and I am using all of them and I having a quick time.

Meanwhile, i also upgraded toFF3 about just 2 weeks ago and true enough it is one good version, it works faster on my computer and the colorful tabs add on is so cute that I have now color coded tabs. I also installed the EntreBar entredopping much easier. So far right now, both browsers are doing really g
ood.

I am also encouraging my net cafe customers to refrain from using IE and train themselves using Firefox. I have learned that many are still used in using IE since this is the default browser on all windows computers. Some people also don;t even know what Mozilla firefox is hehe.

Anyway, have you made a permanent switch??

It is even very easy and convenient now to see any twitter updates bec. of the Twitter Fox, a firefox plugin that notifies you of any updates on the lower right bottom of your firefox window. In that way you don't need to sign at twitter webby just to read updates from your friends. I think we are overloading Twitter so much with our updates every minute or so hahaha. Just love it !

I've been busy here at my store printing works of my customers, scanning, assisting my customers and right now I am burning 4 DVDs using my ROXIO Easy Media Creator V9 for a client and it's so easy to use. I'm burning personal videos of a seminar a b-day party video. It looks like I will be burning DVD for a while but i can still hop, blog and do something else. It's weekend once again but I still need to open my store till tomorrow. Have a great night or morning to everyone !!

: I love my HP Pavilion Computer :

Bought my baby last year and up to now it has never given me any headaches. The money that I spent buying it was really worth it even though I can buy 2 pc with its price already. There are new models of HP pavilion pc on the market right now with bigger specs and bigger lcd monitors. I wish I’ll have it too but my current one is doing really great and will not hang eventhough I will open multiple browsers and photo editing programs like my Photoshop CS3 and Corel PSP.

I’m into digital scrapbookind and digital photography so I need quite good of pc memory so that it will perform fast. Right now my pc memory is only 2.5 GB but I have plans of upgrading it still. I just love this pc of mine where I do all my works all the time. I wish it will not give up so soon.

: Twitter Overload :

I guess many of you have been using Twitter nowadays and that includes me. Before, I don't update much because I don't how it really works not until Suzanne told me how to reply to my twittermates.

Oh well you can update or put any message that you like and your mates can reply to you, it's like you are chatting at the same time. My co-bebots (digiscrappers) are all chatterbox that there are loads of stories, tips or chismax to read every day.

Lately, twitter has been experiencing technical problems and I know they have fixed it, and just this afternoon, i got an error that "Twitter is over capacity", it only means that many are using the service already. Have you twit lately?

: The Internet and You :

Have you noticed that more and more people uses the Internet for emails, online banking, online shopping, chats, Paypal and other online activities that it become our companion in our daily lives? I guess many of you can relate to me when I say that the first thing that I open is my mail every time I open the net. Aside from that, sometimes you feel disconnected from the world when there are days you can’t use the net. That is how it envelops our lives.

There are also more people taking computer or IT courses nowadays because of the demand of works in this field. If only I can turn back the times, then I would have chosen to go this career path instead of the medical field bec. I know I have many options and opportunities. IT job search are also available online where most people search for jobs too.

Right now, I bet you can’t live (maybe) without the Internet.. hehe

: Are printers disposable now adays? :

I asked that question because my last printer that I purchased 8 months ago an HP D2460 is already jamming papers frequently and that is soooooo annoying! Most of the printers are light weight now and not for heavy duty printings unlike my Hp deskjet that i used for almost 7 or 8 years eventhough I used refill cartridges on it.

The salesman at Greenhills told me that printers are disposable now a days ever since people used refill inks for their printers (i'm one of those ..lol). Can't blame me I save a lot by doing this. I purchased a new printer HP 910 (i love HP products) yesterday in Greenhills and I will NOT use refill the cartridges anymore on this one. I hope this will last for a longer time.

What about you are you using refill cartridges or inks for your printers?

: Added memory will do :

When I bought my HP desktop almost a year ago it has 160 GB of hard drive which I reckon is not enough bec. my digital photos are eating a lot of space and just only 512 MB DDR2 of memory. My OS is Vista and it already requires 1GB of memory so I thought of upgrading.

Fortunately I have 3 slots for the memory cards so I added 2 memory cards (1GB each) and when I open other programs the performance is already good. Right now, I am doing a lot of graphics using my Photoshop CS3 and PSP8 and I reckon I need to have 3GB of memory. I will just buy when I have time. What about you have you upgraded yet?

Web Hosting

I reckon every one of us who has a domain site or blog would love to have a good webhost that is reliable and would not give us a headache esp. when our site is down. I once experienced my blog being down for a short period of time with my current webhost and I am so worried and stressed during that time. Luckily I have not experience it again for a long time now. I guess I am not the only one who has experienced down webhost, it looks like Kaushal Sheth, a web designer and wordpress theme maker is not lucky with his webhost right now. I just read in his site that after experiencing such he managed to research for the best web hosting that he could possibly found online. He was able to scour the net and he was generous enough to share with us his good finds. He has enumerated quite a few web hosts that he thinks are not only reliable but also cheap and with good reputation and customer service support.

In the world of high technology and computers there are a lot innovative products on the market today. Hand saws, chisels and drills have all been replaced by a plasma cutter. This high tech piece of machinery need only be programmed by a computer technician to achieve an imaginable shapes and pieces for most high tech machinery it’s like playing with a jigsaw.

Jazzing up our mobile phones

Having a cell phone these days can’t be considered a luxury but already a necessity in modern times. Business people, professionals and even ordinary people already know the usefulness and convenience of having a cellphone. I remember in the 80’s when I was still in college it was very hard to communicate to someone where there are no beepers or cellphone yet. Thanks to the modern IT world it is making our lives easier and communication is faster now.

I had my 1st Nokia cell phone few years back and it was so fun to personalize the cover and ringtones of it. Mobile phones evolved through the years where they added features like internet capability, video cam, mp3 etc. and the designs became sleeker. Another cool thing that you can put into your phones is ringtones. More websites like MSN Emotions are also featuring Free Ringtones for mobiles where you download free Polyphonic Ringtones,Hip Hop Ringtones, Dance Ringtones and more. You can also browse by Artist if you like. I just found another site where i can pick ringtones for my existing cellphone right now.

We can protect our privacy

We all need our privacy, don’t we? And every one of us has a right to have one. We should remember that every time we use our computers and search the web, windows can still stored the websites, email , our contacts or even passwords even though we delete them and remove them in history. That is quite daunting especially if we share computers, we never know that the next person will see the things that we have done.

It was fortunate enough that there is a software that can erase “evidences’ in our pc. With just a small amount of program we will be assured that we can retain our privacy and this software can eliminate all your system cookies, remove porn sites that you visited and more, this Evidence-Blaster software is available at www.evidence-blaster.com for just a little price of $22.95. There is now a chance where we can be have 100% of privacy.

Recovering deleted files

Some of us have tons files that keep on my hard drives just like me and when we saw that our HD are almost full we try to delete some of the files to get rid of them. Oh well did it ever occurred to you that the file you have just chuck in the bin is so important bec. you have emptied your recycle basket already? It happened to me before and I hated myself for doing that. Even if I become angry at myself I have no more choice but to accept that it is gone already.

If only I have known the Undelete software that I found at www.file-saver.com then I I reckon I’d still recover my files back then. I just read that this software can recover deleted files, photos, and other documents that we have even if we have deleted it for months. I reckon this is a perfect one esp. for those offices that have important files. We can’t avoid being careless in deleting our files so this one can rally save our day.
