: Feeding the Birds :

I was browsing again all the photos from my OZ vacation and saw these photos. It was at Ikama where we went to see the Light house and the famous Blow Hole. We didn't finish our lunch (fish and chips) when we ate at the park so we fed the birds. One by one they showed up when they saw us throwing food.

Of course I was so excited bec. it is my 1st time that birds come right at me bec. here in Pinas birds are afraid of people hahaha (joke only!!!!)

: Reminiscing our Highschool Days :

Helen, a friend of mine way back in High School visited me last Sunday and we had a blast talking and reminiscing our high school days. And look at us playing with her phone cam. She brought the pictures of our 21st reunion for me to see bec. i wasn't able to attend the reunion in 2005 bec. I was out of the country that time.

We also watched the video that they had back then
while eating pizza and I was laughing and was so excited to see my former classmates. I have a hard time recognizing some of them bec. they have changed so much in time. You could really see the changes in them, some are fat/slim, balding already, others stayed sexy, while others stayed single.

And next year after 25 years of graduating (1984) in high school we will have our Silver Homecoming. We don't look we've graduated 25 yrs ago from h-school, right?? Oh well, we are actually preparing for it now so I am pretty excited now. I also made a forum for our batch so that we can keep in touch.

Oh well, gotta go now, just need to do some researching 'coz my nephew is bugging me to make a research about team collaboration software that he needs. You know, aunts are always helpful..phewww!

:LP: Berde (Green)

I don't want to miss this week's theme so i just went over my files and look for pics to share. This is just one of my small cactus that I have here. They are miniature ones but look at those long thorns. I bought it only for 3 for P100 and it's already 1 year old and still alive, healthy and green.

: Digi- Photography Gallery :

Been taking some shots since i bought my Canon Rebel last year and i thought i'd make a small gallery for the shots whom I thought were nice. I am still learning my way in photography and as a newbie like me i still need to read manuals, books and ask tips form the experts. I hope in no time i can take more better photos. I am also planning of getting a new lens (Canon 18-135mm lens) to better improve the wuality of my photos.

Right now i am still enjoying my nifty 50mm 1/8 lens but still need a wide and a zoom lens. Just some of the shots I took with it.

: Photohunt:: Pointed :

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I really took this photo with our theme (pointed) in mind and it was last March when I took a vacation in Sydney. I know the Opera House has been photographed over a million times already but I am happy with what I have come up with this photo. Those are the pointed fence and of course the pointed structure of the Opera.

I also took the steps going to the top of the Opera House as per my bro in law's instruction and he took lots of pictures of me in almost all angles..lol

This one is just near the opera house not quite sure though if that is an old hotel or something hehe. My other entry HERE.

: LP: Tatak Pinoy (Pinoy Trademarks) :

It's good to be posting for Litratong Pinoy once again, i have been abasent for quite a while.

Anyway, Have you been to ANTIPOLO??? The famous "Tayo na sa Antipolo" line. We are just about 30 mins. away from the town. Last Mother's day our family went to hear mass at the famous Our Lady of Good Voyage church there and it was also the Maytime festival in Antipolo that is why you can see that decor below.

There are also food stalls (lots of them) and other booth selling native products and delicacies. Oh are you hungry now with that suman? There are also kalamay, and the yummy kasoy.

I remember when i was still small we have this paper mache horse as out toy. This is only a miniature one being sold in one of the stalls there.

: Too much photos!!?? :

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Finally, my Australian vacation photos were already printed last Thursday!! I only chose 900 pics from among the nearly 3,000 photos that I have to be printed. I was really looking for a store that gave me a discount in printing and thanks to Buge my co-dgiscrapper who recommended FANS Digital store in Quiapo. It only costs P5.00 per print of 4"x6" size and I was able to save a lot since the regular price here in our place is about P7.50.

It was timing that my bro. will go to Quiapo that Thurs. so I asked him to have it printed. The prints were ok but there are few that they adjusted the colors so much that it turned out to be too bright, wish they never did that. Anyway, the only problem is that I need albums for my pictures. Actually I already have 2 albums that I bought in Australia but i left it there when I came home last April bec. I was already over baggage. Well, at least my family already saw my OZ pics.

:Photohunt: Shoes :

Aren't these shoes the cutest ever? Hehe. I saw them hanging at my niece's room as a decor and I found it real cute so I grabbed my cam and thought this is perfect for this week's theme at Photohunters. My niece Bianca was suppose to wear that and the baby dress at her Christening that was given by her godparent.

: LP # 8 Tubig (Water)

We went to Kiama, NSW Australia last March to see their famous BLOW HOLE, one of the tourist attractions of that town. The water coming out is the result of pressure of the waves and when it came out you'll hear a loud sound and see the massive spray of water. I was lucky enough to capture on time the water coming out, bec. I really did wait.

: I miss you guys ! :

Although I can talk to my sis JOY on YM every now and then and can see her updates on her blog, I can't help but to miss her and family back in Sydney.
  • ~ I miss our bonding time together blogging and shopping and/or just plain talking about chismis hehe.
  • ~ I miss Braiden's cheeky smiles and wished I was there to see his developments.
  • ~ Ahhh that little Bianca is such a chatter box, i remember she used to help me hang and fold clothes eventhough she doesn't know how. I miss you missy moo!!
  • ~ Hmmm and Micah, eventhough we argue sometimes, I miss her too of course. I wish she'll remember all what I have told her. She's only 13 and soon she'll be a lady.
  • ~ Ahhh and my bro inlaw Joe, such a cool, sweet and very generous guy. He may look too serious at times but when he cracks a joke, I'm laughing my head off.
I wish I was still with them and doing things that I don't normally do here back home. Our endless vacation is surely missed by me esp. the days where we spent a week vacation off at Hamilton Island. I had a blast !! See you guys next year in Pinas !!!

: My Nifty Fifty :

Finally, i already bought my 50 mm f1.8 II lens yahooo and I am loving it!! It is light weight, sharp, affordable and i just love the aperture. It is great for portraits but it is good also as a walkaround lens and good for low light conditions. It's a fix lens so there is no zoom, your zoom is your feet, lol. Even so I love it !!, Am i saying goodbye to my kit lens now? I think so

My niece and I bought it at INFO MAX at cyberzone 4flr. in Megamall just yesterday (Sunday). Actually, I went to Canon branch 1st at megamall but it is out of stock and it costs more that what i got from Infomax. I know it is much more cheaper in Hidalgo but I have no time to go there anymore.

Have you got your own, Canonians get one now as it is a must!! My next project is either 28-135 mm IS or telephoto 70-200mm IS lenses. Yay expensive hobby!

: Photohunt:: Time :

The theme for this week at Photohunt is TIME.

These pictures are taken while I'm on vacation in Sydney early this year and and I had a great-great
time spending it with my sis and family. I've been there for 3x already but the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge never fail to amaze me and other tourists.

If you have the chance to travel, never fail to visit this wonderful city and you'll never be disappointed. There are lots of places to go to while you are there and spend some bonding time with your family.

Oh BTW, i have a different entry on my other blog, VIEW IT HERE.

: Litratong Pinoy: #5 Malungkot (SAD)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This is my niece Micah, sad and so bored when we went to Wollongong City (Australia) last Feb. to see what the place has to offer for us and it was a beautiful city indeed. My sis, her family and I were all walking around and taking pictures here and there while she just sits in the bench alone sad and thinking deeply. Maybe she's having her PMS that time hahaha!

: Nice to see my sister again!

It's always good to see a loved one after many years of being away from us. My sister Beng and her family were back home here in Pinas for a vacation from Riyadh. They arrived on April 15, 2 days earlier than me. It was exciting to see my nephew and niece all so grown up. One of the reasons too why they came home is that her daughter (Frances Marie) will be studying college here at Mapua. Frances already passed the exams and already got enrolled.

My sister is working at King Faissal Hospital in Riyadh as one of the medical secretary for many years now. Her husband in turn, is an Electrical Engineer working at the biggest electric company there, SCECO.

Litratong Pinoy: #4 Hugis ay Pahaba

The theme for this week at Litratong Pinoy is Rectangle shape and this is my entry. This is the closet door of my 5 year old nephew Braiden. The unique thing about this is that it is coated with a red furry cloth which is soft to touch. It is also once used to hold on cloth numbers and alphabets as an added decor but one by one they are never to be found. lol
I have also a different entry at my new blog JENNY SAID SO, pls. take a peek there.
******************************

*********
My entry for this week is so late already, (sorry i was still on vacation) but never mind I found a perfect triangle last Saturday while we are strolling Royal Botanic Gardens which is near the Opera House.

It's beautiful here and it was so huge, imagine it took us about 2 hours walking inside and it was right on time I saw a triangle shaped structure and there where plants inside. Different isn't it? Unfortunately I wasn't able to come near it bec. we are in a hurry.

This is while we are having a play with my niece and nephew, I asked them the shape of triangle and they showed it to me.

Translation:
"I joined "Litratong Pinoy" just few minutes ago, my application has not been approved yet but I posted my entry here eventhough it is late already. Ngek, I am having a hard time writing in pure Filipino.
I took a photo of this small ball of my nephew this morning while it is on the floor while I am sweeping and cleaning. I took 3 shots of this in different angles and I am pleased with the result. Ordinary things will have meaning when shot in a different way."
