Micah at Teen Ranch

I am sure my 13-year-old niece is having a good time at Teen Ranch, where teens will have different activities inside a camp for one whole week. I guess this is her 2nd time to attend such and I hope she’ll be going back home with lots of good lessons that she can use in her life and at home.

Since it is school holidays here her parents thought that it is best for her to join the camp as they also have some religious teachings aside from the sports and physical activities inside. Would you believe that she bought a lot of stuff with her? From clothes, shoes and toiletries. Ahhh teenagers sometimes always want to show off with others. She is quite a bit bothered with her zit on her face that she squeezed it. I scolded her for doing that and I hope she can find the best acne treatment that is right for her bec. I know she will not stop putting anything on her face. I will miss her bec she will not be here when I will leave on Thurs.

I just wanna have fun!

Hahaha, it’s me just havin’ fun while jumping at my sister’s trampoline at their backyard. This is where I play with Bianca and Braiden at times and it was actually a lot of fun and it makes me feel like a kid while jumping up and down there. The nice thing about their trampoline is that is has a net so that no one will not accidentally fall when they made a wrong jump. Aside from that we also play basketball, ride the seesaw and a lot more.

We went snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef !!

Oh yeah.. you read it right at the THE GREAT BARRIER REEF  here in Australia ! I could not believe I'll be there to see that wonderful place and thanks to my sis and bro inlaw for bringing me there. FYI, it is the world's largest coral reef system and it has been sited as one of the World's Heritage Site. 

We went for a a 1 week holiday at the Hamilton Island (some pics here) and last Friday my sis Joy and her family went on a tour at the Hardy Reed in the Great Barrier Reef. It wasn't a s

mooth sail I tell yah.. The waves are about 2 meters high and our boat were like rocking but it was one great adventure.

My Sunday

Hello guys, how are you all??? First of all i want to say thank you for your concerns on my FREAK ACCIDENT post, I am ok now although my nose still hurts esp. if i will touch it.

Anyway, are you all getting excited bec. Christmas is really just around the corner? If you are going to ask me i am really excited..

I went to the nearest mall (SM) in our place that just recently opened. My 1st stop is National Bookstore to buy some office supplies i then strolled inside the mall to see what's new and to scout for some gifts. I spotted a bag and I bought it, it was just a Mandarin black bag that i can use to carry my Canon dslr around. I can bring it in Australia for my trip and it's not always nice to carry the real camera bag as it will be a hassle so i bought like a body bag.

I tried some sunglasses but it didn't buy yet. I love the Lacoste, Celine Dion and the Guess eyeglasses, i will buy one next year. I also tried on the pink Fossil watch with swarovski crystals on it and gosh it was a bit expensive.. yay i hope i can buy it.. (gastos ko wahhhh!!!).. Ang dami kong projects, kainis..!

Another Blessing

I think that my b-day almost two weeks ago has brought many good blessings.

• 1st, my visa was granted
• 2nd, already got my dream Canon DSLR after my b-day
• 3rd, Monday i already bought my Airline Ticket when i got the money sis sent to me.

Thanks to Almighty God for these blessings!!

My Australian Visa was granted !!

Yahoooooo !!! My sister called me up a day before my b-day and she told me that she received a letter from the Australian Embassy there in Sydney that my Sponsored Family Visitor Visa was granted in just one (1) week since they submitted my papers!! Wow that is really a very nice birthday gift that i received.

I called the Australian Embassy yesterday and arranged a courier pick up to get my passport for visa stamping. And just this afternoon the courier got my passport and the letter and hopefully they will deliver my passport w/ visa already by early next week. Although i have been in the Land Down Under 2x already since 2005, i can help but to be excited once more bec. i know i will have a grand vacation again.

I have already called my Travel Agency to ask prices of the tickets and flight schedules and i think i will be flying mid January of next year. I am getting excited now and in no time I will get my my old luggage from the storage room again to fill it up with my stuff.

Australia watch out for me hehehehe!!!

Hello guys, first of all i just want to say BIG THANK YOU for all the b-day greetings, poems, saying that you have left on my last post. I am really overwhelmed with that. There are many great msgs. that i have read and one have actually put me into tears ... awwww. If there were no more msgs that be posted till Sunday that will surpass that msg., i think that will be the winner. I will announce it here by Monday or Tuesday so you'll have to watch out. Of course i will be notifying the winner.

BTW, we had a blast last night i had dinner with 2 of my best friends. I ll share pics later once i have uploaded them. Just in case you still want to join my mini b-day contest you can still do so, i would love to receive more greetings, just read the details there ok.

Let's celebrate !!

Yay, I finally turned 40 today and there are many things to be grateful about. I want you to celebrate this special day with me. I've received lot of blessings this year and I want to thank our dear Lord for that.

I adopted a pet !

..... yes i did but only it is a virtual one hehehe. I am not really a pet lover ever since bec. i don't think I have the patience or the passion for taking care one 24/7. I just admire pet lovers bec. they put hearts over them, who knows maybe one day i can be a pet owner.

Anyway, like i said i adopted a pet, actually it's a hamster and i named it REMY (my previous post), just like the real hamster that my nephew has. You can see her at the right side of my blog, just scroll down until you find her waiting to be played. You can even put her on the moving wheel and feed her with a strawberry by clicking the MORE button.

Hehehe, i feel like a kid for a while coz every time i open my blog i can play with her.. Take a look at her at the bottom pls. and oh BTW, please be nice to her OK ..hehe

Keeping your babies safe

Hello mommies out there! I know one of the main things that you provide to your babies and kids is their utmost safety. I am not a parent yet but I had the opportunity to take care of my nieces and nephews when they are still babies.

Let me share this funny story. One time I took my nephew one morning for a leisurely walk in the nearby park and he was on his stroller. We had fun coz I let him run at the big football field but it was cut off when the rain suddenly fell. I hurriedly get him and strapped him on his stroller but unfortunately it has no hood so we both got wet. If you only saw how I carried him and push his stroller to the nearest shade you’d laugh at me hahaha. I wish it was a joovy caboose stroller (like the one in the photo) bec. for sure I will not have a hard time pushing him. Have you used Joovy Caboose strollers?

So what is your favorite time of the year?

For me, aside from my birthday (it’s in the 16th already yahoo!!) it’s Christmas that I am always anticipating. The festive mood of the season makes me so alive and hopeful. Especially here in the Philippines, you could already hear Christmas carols on the radio as early as Oct. (no kidding) and some of the malls have already started to put Christmas decors after Halloween. Christmas is definitely very different here in the Phils., we have the traditional 9 days “Simbang Gabi” (Midnight Mass) and the Noche Buena of course. Then on Christmas day gift giving and the “Manuhan” as we call it. It is where kids can go house to house (even if they don’t know the people living there) to receive gifts or money, but sometimes it is way too expensive.

Anyway, I know shoppers will be too busy again shopping for gifts like me. I am starting early this year so I won’t be in a rush just like last year. Malls will be jam-packed again with shoppers and during those days, pickpockets are everywhere so many will not bring cash but their credit cards instead. I reckon it’s much safer that way.

I just hope you’ll just spend within your means but for those that don’t have much cash but certainly would not want to miss giving gifts during Christmas, getting a loan is one option that they can consider. Oh but make sure you can pay it back or else you don’t want to mortgage your house, right? I believe Christmas is so much fun; every one enjoys esp. the kids. The warmth of our family ties makes us want to be Christmas everyday. I know for those Pinoys that are away from home already miss our traditional Christmas celebrations.

Trying to be different??

This is my niece Kathleen, she come up to me one time and ask me if her nails are beautiful . Holy cow, they are of different colors i said. She said it's the in thing to have it hahaa.. Teenage girls are really doing things to look diffrent. She put her own polish and i think it only last for a day or two.. lol And take a look at her hands it's chubby hahahaha..

Mom's b-day party

Mom’s b-day turned out so great last Sunday! We are really so busy for the preparations and by 11 am there were few visitors that already came. I was the one who did mom’s hair and make-up, I just did it very simply coz I don’t have much experience in this field.

We had 10 types of food dishes that we served. There’s the Pork Lechon (yum yum), Fried Chicken, Beef with mushroom sauce and corn Kernel, Menudo, Spring Rolls, Lumpiang Sariwa, Sweet and Sour Tilapia Fish, Spaghetti, Pancit Canton, Pork Hamonado (yummy!). We also have 4 desserts, we made Fruit Salad, Leche Flan, Macapuno and Gelatin. All of them are a hit in the table.

Before eating, mom gave her touching speech where almost every body cried and right after that the visitors flocked in the table to get their food. It was a buffet style and gosh the visitors seem so hungry. (daming putahe kasi eh).

Anyway, we also had games for the kids and prizes are given away to the winners. Although it wasn’t a children’s party, we wanted it to be also enjoyable for the kids so we put a “pabitin” that has toys and candies for the kids and it was really a riot. The adults also enjoyed the videoke machine where they got to sing their favorite songs.

My mom’s 6 grandchildren in turn give roses and gave their wishes. When I gave my wishes I can’t help but cry and I could see the guests teary eyed too. The party went well and many have attended, mom is surely so happy and feel special. The party ended early evening and would you believe i was still singing the videoke (alone) till 11 pm? I only stopped when sis from Riyadh called. lol.

It's my mom's b-day today!!

My mom just turned 75 today and we thank the Lord for this wonderful blessings for her. She still looks young and still very active and quite healthy. We will give her a party on Sunday and we are actually busy preparing for the things we need. The boxes that my 2 sis abroad already came yesterday and today so we are very happy esp. mom.

Here is the invitation that i made for mom, i had it printed 5 x 7 and it turned out so nice. I also made a tarpaulin for her and i will just share it here once it is finished.

Are you excited like me?

Why? Look at how time flies so fast, it’s already almost the end of September and can you hear the Christmas bells ringing? And I hope you already notice the ticker time that I had up here, that’s my countdown for Christmas. I also hear Christmas songs in the radio. Would you believe that I’ve already started to think about what gifts that I will give this Christmas?

Last year I am financially drained so I wasn’t able to give a lot of gifts, I hope this year will be different (I know it will be). My fave shopping place Greenhills and Divisoria for sure will be packed with shoppers like me. Ahhhh I just like the feeling shopping for my family and clothing particularly shirts is what I always give to the boys. Although it’s fun to shop at the mall and haggle some people just prefer shopping at many online clothing store especially when they have no time to go out. I reckon that is a good choice too bec. online stores have great deals and bargains too.

I’m actually planning to go to Divisoria on Monday or Tuesday bec. I want to buy some daily pants and shirts for myself.

My favorite stand up comedian

.........is POOH, popularly known as Manny Poohquaio. He imitates our boxer Manny Pacquiao. I had the chance to watch him live at Punchline comedy bar in May this year with my balikbayan relatives and oh boy we can't help but to laugh so hard with his jokes (as in super kakatawa talaga!).

I first saw him perform on TV at Sharon's show (he is not popular yet at that time) but i know he will make it big bec. his jokes (although some are old and some people may find it corny) is truly crazy. He has a good delivery and if you see his facial expression you can't help bu to laugh.
