Chefs on the Go

Oh how I wish I am a good cook, I just envy those that have the innate talent to prepare foods delectably. I guess great cooks have really the passion for that craft and I would not even wonder why many are even going to culinary schools to hone their skills. And if you are one of those aspiring chefs in the future, I know this site: Chefs at www.chefs.com can give you loads of information about cooking, recipes, culinary education and more.

We have lots of good chefs here in our country who has graduated in many cooking schools here and abroad and one of them that we are proud of is none other than Cristeta Comerford, a Filipina and the new female executive chef of the White House. I know they are enjoying the foods she is serving them and I hope many of our good chefs here will also make it good everywhere.

Are you a good cook?

If you’re going to ask me then my answer is no but I can cook though. I hate to say it but I lack expertise or talent in that area, just ask me to make a digi layout for you then for sure I can make one haha.. I just envy those that have the passion to cook and to hone their craft by even enrolling on a culinary school just what our local artist Judie Ann Santos did. She finished her culinary arts and even graduated with honors. I am pretty sure the school that she attended has the same high standards like that of Orlando Culinary in Florida, – you can visit the site at http://www.orlandoculinary.com/ if you want to enroll or inquire.

Those that wish to become chefs will have to study in a good school of course to pursue their dreams. I in the meantime will just be contented in eating those delicious meals they will be serving since my cooking skills are not that good.

Cooking disaster

Mom always cook lunch for us here and for our lunch today we have fried Tilapia (yummy!!). Mom also cooked sawsawan made of eggplants, tomatoes, ginger and spices simmered in vinegar to with the fried fish. The thing is when she was sprinkling some ground pepper onto this sauce, the cover of the bottle accidentally fell on it and of course lots of peppers went out hahaha.

I think mom scooped some of the peppers so that it will not mess the taste so much but when you saw the sauce it as if the whole bottle of pepper was on it. It was a bit hot but we still managed to eat it hahaha. Mom didn't throw it away since it's a waste.. sayang nga naman. Does it happened to you too?

Are you a good cook?

Oh me? Ahmmm NO. I can cook but not that good I can say. I always admire women who loves to cook and can make up menus on their own. I think they are born to be a good cook and if their recipes are yummy I reckon they put a lot of love in cooking it. Plus I guess they enjoy what they are doing especially if they have nice and complete cookware set in their kitchen.

I’m not a kitchen person lately but I can work around the kitchen cutting up the veggies and all.
I remember cooking leche flan and it turned out to like an egg pie, my friend Racel would always laugh at me when she remembers that. Hahaha.

So what about you what are your favorite recipe and specialty?
