Would you “sell” your future payments??

Let’s say you won a settlement over a dispute or something, the agreement through your lawyers is that you will be paid not in lump sum money but payments will be installment and in period of time (monthly, quarterly or yearly). This kind of payment is what you call structured settlements .

Sometimes it’s hard to wait and you need that money immediately, would you sell those future payments? I reckon I can do that if you are going to ask me bec. there are companies who buy settlement payments and of course all I need to do is get the highest cash offer that will come my way.
